Benefits of Rebounding

Benefits of Rebounding

The Benefits of Rebounding (bouncing on a mini-trampoline) fall into 3 categories.

This is the exercise I recommend in my 90-Day Renewal.  Let me share some of the unique benefits of rebounding:

1.  Cellular Health

Research conducted by NASA, comparing running to rebounding, found that rebounding is 68% more efficient in producing similar physiological results.  It began when NASA scientists observed that astronauts in space for 14 days “lost up to 15% of their bone and muscle mass because their cells didn't have gravity to oppose.”  So NASA had to find an exercise that would strengthen astronauts both before and after space trips.  They found that nothing else had the same benefits of rebounding!  That's why my book, Becoming the Woman I Want to Be: A 90-Day Journey to Renewing Spirit, Soul & Body, includes rebounding as the suggested exercise (along with walking)

Maybe you've noticed that gravity is doing weird things to your body!?!  Well, ladies, it's time to fight gravity…….by defying gravity.  How?  Start jumping!   If it's good enough to keep astronauts in condition, think what it can do for the rest of us earthlings.

Rebounding not only strengthens your muscles and bones, it strengthens your cells.  According to NASA research, the straight up-and-down movement of the body while rebounding exposes the human body to the “G-Force” (pull of gravity).  Each time you resist the pull of gravity (by jumping up), your entire body becomes stronger.  This takes the concept of resistance exercise to a whole new level!

Additional benefits of rebounding include its impact on the lymph system.  It actually stimulates your Lymphatic System, which is your body's primary tool for self-cleaning.  It sucks out toxins, poisons and metabolic waste products, while destroying bacteria, viruses, germs, dead cells and other unhealthy material that doesn't belong in your body.  That's why a diagnosis of Lymphoma, or a report that cancer has spread to the Lymph nodes, is so dire.  It means the very system design to purify your body has itself been contaminated.  It's like trying to mop the floor with a dirty mop…except your very life is at stake.

As you can well imagine, it is vitally important to keep your Lymphatic System in great running order. According to Dr. Arthur C. Guyton, author of the book, Medical Physiology, “If the Lymphatic System were to stop circulating for just 24 hours, death would occur.”  On the other hand, when the Lymphatic System is functioning as God designed it to, “it is practically impossible to get sick.”

The up-and-down motion of rebounding stimulates the Lymphatic System, promoting more efficient cell-cleansing processes.  This explains why pockets of cellulite (notice the word CELL) begin to dissipate, even though they've remained impervious to other forms of exercise like traditional weight-training.

Rebounding provides a quick total-body workout.  According to Albert Carter, founder of the American Institute of Reboundology and author of The New Miracles of Rebound Exercise, Rebounding “is like doing push-ups with every cell in the body all at once.  All other strength exercises are designed to strengthen only the muscles and generally only one group at a time.  While strengthening muscles is necessary, it is also important to have strong bones, connective tissue and strong vital organs.  Rebounding strengthens the whole body, cell by cell.”

You can place your Rebounder in front of the television, thereby “redeeming the time” which would otherwise have been spent on the couch.

Your children will love it.  A depressing number of children are currently overweight.  Rebounding provides your children with an efficient, total body workout and they have no idea they are “getting their exercise.”  They think they're having fun!

Let me assure you that there is absolutely NO COMPARISON between a cheap mini-trampoline and a top-quality rebounder.  This probably sounds like an infomercial, but it's the truth.  ReboundAIR sent me their ReboundAir for free and said, “If you aren't convinced within 10 minutes, send it back.”  Well, I was convinced within 1 minute and have no intention of sending it back.

The difference is in the impact.  Each time your feet hit the ground–during any exercise–your entire body is impacted or “jarred.”  That's why jogging and high-impact aerobics have such a high rate of injury.  Shins and ankles give out long before the lungs and heart do! Jog in place and feel for yourself how your entire body reacts when your feet hit the floor.  If you're really brave, jump up in the air and land on both feet.  Does the word “ouch” spring to mind?

According to Albert Carter, “A study conducted at the University of Utah concluded that rebounding eliminates as much as 7/8th of the skeletal shock when compared to running on a hard surface.”  This dramatically reduces injury to shins, ankles, knees and the back.

The beauty of mini-trampolines or rebounders is that they cushion the impact, so you can exercise with less risk of injury.  Even a $20 mini-trampoline is less jarring than jogging on the pavement.  Just like jogging on the grass is less jarring than jogging along the side of the road.  But nothing cushions your landing like the ReboundAir!

Don't take my word for it, though.  If you don't experience the benefits of rebounding right away, they offer a 30-day money back guarantee to everyone.  If you don't like it, send it back and they'll return your money.

Check it out and let me know what you think.
