Do you believe the God of the bible is still a God of power? If not, then you must think God has changed.
The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And when we read the Bible, from the Creation of the world in Genesis…to the majesty of Heaven in the Book of Revelation, we witness a powerful, awe-inspiring God.
I Encountered the God of Power
But I have to be honest. For most of my spiritual life, I was a powerless Christian. I loved God and loved the Bible. But something was missing. Deep in my heart, I knew it.
Then, I was invited to teach a 10-Day conference in Brazil. I had heard stories of the amazing revival in that nations. And I had seen videos of miracles taking place. What was I going to teach them about God?
In desperation, I began to cry out to God for answers. That prayer led me on a journey to experience the power of God in unmistakable ways. Now I know by experience that God is a God of Power!
Do you?
You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.
– Psalm 77:14
Affirmation: I remain confident that God is still a God of power.
As we study the Bible and church history, we must conclude that God was, is, and always will be a God who displays his power. Quite frankly, God is a bit of a show-off! He loves to make “a public spectacle” of “the powers and authorities,” as he did on the cross (Colossians 2:15).
God always has and always will demonstrate his power in and through his people. He can and will enable you to experience that power. No doubt about it.
